Early to bed, early to rise to try to catch of the planetary alignment everyone was talking about. I tried for 3 mornings, but the clouds never cleared very much. This morning, the 4th one, they cleared away just enough to see venus, our moon, mars, and saturn. Then it got cloudy again. But that was perfect.
I didn't see the dawn glow on the horizon with my eyes, but my camera could sure see it, especially with a long exposure.
I took this picture at 4:24am at Honolulu Landing. Which is a place along the rocky Puna coastline where people come to be near the ocean and to fish with friends.
