Jupiter setting at South Point

South Point, Hawaii

September 26, 2019

I came to South Point for the Milky Way on a rare night with no wind. There is a lighthouse there that only blinks once in a while, giving just the right amount of illumination to the rocky shore and tide pools. The winds were so still, the stars reflected in the pools of water.

As a bonus, Jupiter was setting at the same time. I just love unplanned special events.
